June 21, 2002: Moon
Moon in capris Moon in fur-lined coat

The first char sketch, in no particular order, is (*drumrolls*) Moon!

Drawn on my new sketchbook, inked with brushpens (how I adore thee, brushpens! Mmwa mmwa mmwa!). What you can't see here are the li'l notes in blue that I made around the drawings, telling me how I made her fur-lined coat flow wrong on its left side, and how I liked the way her baggy capris turned out, and pondering if I should make her face rounder.

Gee, all these noting makes me feel so professional. Hee. ;)

Moon's meant to be a little chubby, you see. She's not supposed to be a poster-child for "Hot Chicks 'R Us" (though, granted, that would be a lovely store to browse). She, ironically, has both no sense of fashion and a sense of what clothes suit her, if that makes sense. I'll probably elaborate on what that means next time, but for now, let me assure you it's an accurate contradiction.

I don't want to describe too much of her history and personality here, because I prefer that to be done through the comic strip's storylines. That's a better way to portray chars, don't you think?

Let me know your thoughts, views, et. al. They will be muchly appreciated. :)
