August 23, 2002: Nameless One / Bob
Nameless One / Bob He has no name -- Vlad took it away from him -- but Seth's dubbed him Bob (or will dub him Bob, depending on where you're reading in the strip). He is the Nameless One.

I guess it depends on readers how they want to see Bob. I know how I see him, but I also know it's not necessarily the same way for everyone else.

Is he a masochist with self-esteem issues, considering he voluntarily subjects himself to Vlad's every command, even though -- especially if -- it causes great pain for others and/or himself?

Or is he a Typical HenchmanTM, carrying out the boss's word without question because that's the trait of a stock character?

Or does he have some ulterior motive for serving Vlad, considering he's not afraid to use his strength, intelligence, and skills to overpower anyone else?

Well, here's a clue: he lets himself be ordered around as penance. Penance for what, you ask? I'm not saying it here, you'll have to find out through the strips. ;)

If Vlad's distinguishing features are his smirk and "sharp" features, Bob's are his broad face and slight slouch. The slouch comes from being subservient to Vlad for so long. Oh, and also the thick lips and brows, natch. Some trivia info: Bob is based on J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter (refer DC's JLA comics). Hey, you have to admit, gotta dig a guy in green. (*grins*)

 'What the heck??'

Above are two depictions. The one on the left is what Bob usually wears. Simple stuff. The one on the right is what Bob would never wear. (*snickers*) Not unless he got wrestled down and shoved into it, but believe me, he'd fight back and most likely win. Hmm. . . if Vlad ordered him to wear it, then he would! Yeah, that'll work!

Or if Hannah asked him to. Hannah is Seth's sister, and I'm pondering that they'll have a special relationship, the two of them. 'Cause Hannah is so bright and cheerful, and Bob is so loom-y and serious, she's a kid, he's a demon. . . heh, a perfect match, wouldn't you say? ;) They'll have a lot in common, for sure. . .
