Impetuous Youth
Hey-Diddle-Diddle

For all his prattles on youth and springtime, Gai never understood Lee. Lee was dark hair and desperate eyes, bleeding knuckles and broken bones. Lee was happy and sad, broken and absolutely perfect, and Gai loved him. He knew no one would understand him, ever, if he said he loved the boy. They'd take Lee away, take all his students away, and so Gai never said a word.

Lee was something else. Lee was everyone and everything that Gai had ever wanted to be. Lee was the same as he had been when he was a child, exactly the same in ways that were so different it was impossible to see links. Gai loved looking at the boy and seeing himself staring back out of the eyes, loved seeing the boy laugh and cry, and more than anything else, seeing him succeed. It became Gai's whole world, to see Lee succeed.

From the first day, Lee was always in the back of his mind. Gai's entire world was based around him, on him, and Gai didn't mind. It was wonderful, living just so he could make Lee everything that was ever supposed to be, and if he couldn't do that, then what was the point of living? Lee was this, was that, was all and none and perfect and beautiful, so very beautiful.

Yes, Lee was beautiful and Gai loved him, because Lee was the impetuous youth.
